Welcome at The Development of Learners online class.

The The Development of Learners aims to develop the ability of students to understand the nature of the growth and development of students starting from an early age, elementary school, secondary and adult. Understand aspects of growth and development based on stages of development (children, adolescents and adults). Understand the tasks of human development and its implications in the administration of education from the age of children, adolescents and adults, and be able to identify problems that may occur at each stage of development and its implications in the educational process. As well as being able to develop learning programs / activities as a solution in overcoming problems in every task of human development (children, adolescents and adults).

We all have personal experience with development, but it is sometimes difficult to understand how and why people grow, learn, and act as they do.

Theories of development provide a framework for thinking about human growth and learning. But why do we study development? What can we learn from psychological theories of development? Did you know?

The photographer Robert Capa coined the term 'generation X' to refer to people born after the 60s. In not even half a century, this generation has coexisted with three others: the baby boomer, Y and Z. 

So, there are 5 generation in human race. They are:

  1. Baby Boomers (Born at 1946 - 1960)
  2. X generation (Born at 1961-1980) 
  3. generation (Born at 1981-1994)
  4. Z generation (Born at 1995-2010)
  5. Alpha generation (Born at 2011-now)

Untuk pertemuan kita hari ini, kita akan membahas tentang kecerdasan majemuk. Sudah tidak aneh lagi kan dengan istilah kecerdasan majemuk atau multiple intelligence?

Ketika Anda mendengar kata intelijen, konsep tes IQ mungkin langsung terlintas di benak Anda. Kecerdasan sering didefinisikan sebagai potensi intelektual kita; sesuatu yang kita miliki sejak lahir, sesuatu yang dapat diukur, dan kapasitas yang sulit untuk diubah. Eits, kalau Anda masih berpikiran seperti itu, berarti Anda kudet tuh...

Ada nih seorang ahli bernama Howard Gardner yang mencetuskan tentang teori kecerdasan majemuk.

Howard Gardner adalah seorang psikolog dan Profesor di Sekolah Pascasarjana Pendidikan Universitas Harvard. Berdasarkan studinya tentang banyak orang, dari berbagai lapisan masyarakat dalam situasi dan profesi sehari-hari, Gardner mengembangkan teori kecerdasan majemuk. Dia melakukan wawancara dan penelitian pada ratusan orang.

Gardner mendefinisikan tujuh kecerdasan pertama dalam Frame of Mind pada tahun 1983. Dia menambahkan dua kecerdasan terakhir dalam Intelligence Reframed pada tahun 1999. Jadi totalnya kecerdasan majemuk yang dikemukakan oleh Howard Gardner ini ada 9 nih...

Cognitive ability is the ability of humans to think abstractly, the ability to process information obtained through the senses, the ability to adapt to the environment, and the ability to create works. Cognitive abilities in each person will increase with age, and certainly influenced by environmental factors.
